Week 67 – Well well and well

Okay, it seems that right now there are so many things that have come into my mind of how the work right now seems be more of an inwardly blessing time, rather than the outward. I would have to say right now I have been extremely focused on how I can simply become a more effective minister and disciple of Christ. It seems that although we may not have the amount of investigators we would desire, I have been able to learn to minister to others and simply invite them to come unto Christ, regardless of whether or not we are getting back to be teaching them more. Now I say this was an inward blessing because I feel this was something I needed to desperately learn to know how I could better meet the needs of each person as a son or daughter of God. Lately I have been trying to really more fully internalize my purpose as a missionary and what that really means for me in the future. So while I feel that I am become a better missionary, more capable to teach and to help others come into this gospel, I don't have too many people to teach. Truthfully, this has been quite the question in my mind of why that is! Then a scripture came to my mind.. D&C 100:4 "Therefore, I, the Lord, have suffered you to come unto this place; for thus it was expedient in me for the salvation of souls." That stuck with me and made me realize that what I am doing is still the Work of Salvation, I am still helping others to come closer to Christ, this is what needs to be done. 

The weather is still super cold up here, back down to around 0 to about -10 some days.. super cold. I guess some days are getting into the teens too, but it makes things hard because quite simply people don't want to talk when things are that cold! We deal with it though! We are still out there trying to find the very elect.. We have just focused a lot of our work to go along with what our Ward has put out along with our Stake, all which goes with what the Brethren have put out under the Work of Salvation. The whole idea is we won't have to be out there tracting and such.. we will see how things follow. This is the Lord's work, He is Hastening it in his own time. I just hope that will be ready. But also, I hope each of you are ready to participate in this great hastening. Whether it be redeeming the dead, strengthening active members, reactivation, spreading the gospel, there is so much that we can be a part of and be doing! You ought to be doing it! 

Not much else is new. I love you all! I hope you are all doing all you can to have the spirit with ya at all times, there is no substitute. I think of the gifts we have been given.. The Gift of the Holy Ghost, The Gift of the Atonement, really the Gift of the Restored Gospel. How are we using these gifts?
