Another solid week up
here in Rocky Mountain House! I am enjoying my time here. This week was good as
we got to see/meet with all 4 of our investigators...okay false I am missing
one. We have 5 right now, the other one had to reschedule to this Wednesday!
It got really hot
early last week, well it got Utah hot apparently and was up in the 100 degree
area for us, which isn't normal at all apparently! It was kinda nice though! It
is usually between 55-75 degrees this time of year, well at least for me it has,
so getting up there wasn't too bad! Of course, since we went up to Nordegg and
Crescent Falls last week (use up our driving miles or “clicks”) we had to spend
a couple days walking and biking. What two days? Well the hottest days the
Canadians have seen in a while! It was a good time though!
This week we met with
Tricia! Someone I haven't mentioned before. She is super nice! We got talking
about the Law of Chastity, yes that is a tough one to teach. But we got in
there and she drops the bomb of, "I don't believe in marriage" Yikes.
We told her well in order to be baptized that kinda has to happen, soooooo...
We will see what happens there! We will see where her desires really are! We
are hoping to find something in the gospel she just can't resist and will do
anything for! We met with Kambo this
week too, it was pretty good. We talked a lot about our purpose on earth. He is
still caught up on the whole spirit world thing, but we figured if we could
paint the whole picture for him then maybe things will begin to click. We
definitely said some things that he totally agrees with. It is just getting him
to lead with the faith he does have, rather than lead all things with his
questions and doubts. We also saw Neil this
week, but just cause he said he would get us apple pie for the fourth of July!
haha He is a good guy. So I got a mini 4th celebration with that and then some members
gave us some ice cream and sparklers! Good times, super wild I tell ya.
We met our new mission
president this week, he is so nice and so is his wife! We had great conversation
with them. I really do think many great things are in store for this mission
while they are at the helm. Life really is good though. I gotta run, my time is
about to expire on the computer and we gotta get to supper! I love you all
though! Have a great week! I will get all caught up with things I missed. Oh we
went to a POWWOW this weekend; that was a sweet experience! I love you all!
Until next week!
